Mayne Island Farmer's Market
Experience the vibrant heart of the community every Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Agricultural Society Fairgrounds. Discover a lively gathering of local farmers, artisans, and bakers offering fresh, island-grown produce, handcrafted goods, fresh baking, and unique island creations. Enjoy live music from local buskers, catch up with neighbors, and soak in the quintessential island atmosphere. Island Tip: Bring reusable bags and cash; pair your visit with a trip to the nearby Thrift Shop or Museum open during the same hours!

Mayne Island Volunteer Firefighter's Halloween Bonfire
Gather with friends and family at the annual community Halloween bonfire on October 31st. It is a fantastic tradition for islanders to mark the spooky holiday with a warm fire, community camaraderie, and local spirit.
MIALS | Creative Cafe
Join us at the Creative Cafe, a vibrant weekly gathering place hosted by the Mayne Island Assisted Living Society (MIALS). More than just craft time, this dementia-friendly drop-in is a safe, inclusive space designed to inspire creativity, support mental and physical well-being, and build meaningful community connections. Whether you want to explore hands-on arts and crafts, swap books at the Book Nook, pitch in with community gardening, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee and friendly conversation over a puzzle, there is something here for everyone. It is also a wonderful resource for caregivers looking for a welcoming environment and much-needed respite. When: Every Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Where: Mayne Island Community Center Cost: Free (All are welcome!)

MIALS | Thursday Lunch Bunch Program
A beloved community tradition led by coordinator Sue Duncan and a dedicated volunteer team, bringing people together on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month for a warm meal and engaging conversation. What to expect: - Delicious, scratch-made home-style meals and handmade desserts prepared with dietary options in mind (including gluten-free, vegetarian, and dairy-free requests). - Themed menus and presentations paired with interesting guest speakers from the community. - A welcoming, all-ages social environment held at the Mayne Island Community Centre. - The option to reserve a spot to dine in or order an extra meal to take home for later.
